Getting closer to Doc, Downlow says, “We found Shadow! But he’s, uh, not really doing goo-”
However, before she can finish that sentence, a bolt of red lightning strikes the exact place where Uptop and Downlow stood. But instead of her two neighbors, a frightened Doc sees the silhouette of Shadow inside the light, with a very creepy smile.
This is why I had to have the infographic about death at the start of this chapter before you actually think I permanently killed off the main characters in one single hit. Now you understand I only did that temporarily :)
